So recently there has been an influx of maxi mini in the area and at local LFS's. I know nothing about them. I have read some reports that they have a pretty serious sting and will kill and eat almost any fish they can fit...including clowns. Anyone have info on them? They look so neat and I want one, but I don't want to take the chance if they're bad.

Carpet Anemone's fit that description, but I think the Mini Maxi's are too small.
I have one. He climbed to the highest point of my rock tower and has just been sitting there for a while now. No threat to anyone that I can tell.

I have seen bunches of them out here. They have amazing coloration to them. I too was considering one, but have not reserched them enough to pull the trigger on one.
