Reefing newb
I just recently came across Stichodactyla tapetum or maxi mini nem's and find them pretty interesting. Anyone have any experience them? Would it be out of the question to stick one in my 29G full reef tank?

I've never tryed those personally, but we've had a few at the LFS.
They have basically the same requirements as any other anemone.
However,I do not recommend any anemone for a reef tank.Theres just to much that can go wrong.

everytime i read about anemones on here I worry about my tank! I put one in and then my dad announced we are going away, hope its ok lol

Did some more research and seen tons of people on nanoreefs with maximini's in there tank with no problems so I will probably get one when I find a good deal on one I like. Yep, JMCK they are mini carpet anemones. There are the mini's which are very small (nickel to half dollar size) and then the maxi minis (2-3 inches). From what I read they do not move around near as much as their bigger counterparts and for the most part they move around til they find a spot when first introduced and then stay there. Unfortunately, clownfish do not host them though.
