Their not really that hard to keep.As long as you have the right water conditions,flow,and lights.

I wouldn't consider clams difficult either. Like Yote said, they do require a lot of light.

Looking at this, I have a 60g tank, would this be big enough to keep a clam? or would it outgrow it quickly.

With a maxima I think you should be fine. I've seen a lot smaller tanks with them. In fact I will probably be getting one for my 29g.
