Metal halide bulb suggestions?

I'm getting ready to set up a frag tank but I need to replace the stock 10k bulb that came with my pendant. I'm also going to be changing my main tanks bulbs within the next two months too. Any suggestions? Iwasaki? XM? I'm looking for probably 14 or 15ks

I've been using Phoenix 14000 for about a year. I have been happy with them. For a frag tank 10000 might be better for growth.

Does anyone have a link to PAR ratings for the popular bulbs? I'm looking at replacing mine and stuck between Phoenix, XM, and Ushio. I'd like to see some specs but haven't found anything on google.

Really? 10k would be better? I always thought actinics were better because they penetrated water more efficiantly.

10K will have the correct light spectrum to promote more growth than actinics.

In regards to MH, actinics do nothing more than add some color. The MH's, no matter if you use a 65k, 10k, 15k or 20k, will have all the light in the spectrum a coral needs.

What wattage bulbs do you use? Here's some PAR results from Sanjay's site.

I recently replaced the coralife 14k bulb that came with my biocube with a 14k phoenix. I absolutely love the color but personally for a frag tank I would go with something with a 10k spectrum that's a crisper white for better growth.
