Monster from the faculty!!!!

I purchased t5 lights from my LFS and now everything seems clearer with these lights on. My GF saw this little thing on the glass that looks like the alien monster from that old movie "The Faculty". It had like 100 tentacles lol. The first pic is the one in my tank

So I think its a spaghetti worm. But if im wrong please let me know. The one in my tank had a red body with white tentacles. Are they good for my tank? If not how do I get it out. and HOW BIG DO THEY GET??

Yep, that's a spaghetti worm. Usually you don't see their bodies like in the 2nd pic. They stay buried. They are safe and won't harm anything. They don't get big at all -- their tentacles maybe get an inch or two long.

Ok good cause this thing was climbing up the glass and I want to make sure it doesn't get out. The thing was scary looking
