Moving old aquarium in to refugium

Reefing newb
Hello... amm, one question before I do it on this Sunday...

I was thinking that I could move my existing aquarium (live sand, rock, algea), in to my newly built sump/refugium... And let it run...

But what will happen when I will connect the sump/refugium to my big aquarium ,whos cycle is about to start? Will it kill all my beautiufl red fan worms on the rock?

Old sand beds can get a lot of detritus built up in them and even if you rinse it in tank water you can still get a cycle. But DO rinse the detritus out of the sand when you move it all. And do not let the rock sit out of the water long. Lastly, put a shirt on.

It is warm in my house and I look good without shirt :) , so no shirt for me at home :D
