I was looking for my mushroom and i founded dead i think ...there was only one part of it..like if some cut it.all was left was a strip of it...what could had happend.....

I have a cleaner shrimp..cleaning crew ...and dragonet...And a green crab..i dont know hes name..all i know hes reef safe..hes got hairy legs..

emerald crabs are not always reef safe. any chance you have a chocolate chip starfish?

No starfish..And about the hermit crabs..they have never done anything to my corals

emerald crabs are different than hermits. the dont carry a shell around. they are green with hairy legs (as you mentioned) i have a few that dont bother corals but any crab can eat a coral, and if the coral is dead or dying they are more likley to eat them because they are not releasing toxins to protect themselves. but as others have said there are several things that could have happened.
