My poor fire fish gobies

I think because my clowns have been in there happy home for so long there killing my gobies? One died on me this morning so I was like no big deal probably just a bad fish and went and bought another one. Well I found him with is neck ripped out. I have one more but hes the biggest gobie out of all three of them.
Do gobies need another gobie to stay happy?
Because if they dont Im thinking ill just let that one hang out, but if I have to buy another one im just going to give this one back to the LFS.

You should be fine with only one.I had only one purple for over six months before adding another one.

They will do fine alone. Clowns can be very aggressive, and chances are good they are the killers.

I've read that some gobies do not work well with each other and can be very territorial. Others are OK and actually like groups, visit this site http://www.peteducation.com/category_summary.cfm?cls=16&cat=1830 and look up the species of goby you have and see if they are compatible with each other. This site along with the forums has helped me a ton. :Cheers:
