My procedure to get rid of ich disease :
i emptied my tank and intend to start it over
so i empty it from water and then i add a 40 c degree temp fresh water to cover only the sand ,i guess it may burn ich in sand ????
then now i will remove all water from the tank and let it to dry ... i guess also that ich can't survive without water ????

then i will start it again but without removing the sand i tried to burn it and cover with fresh water to get rid of ich

What do you think about this steps while i know that i will lose great of my beneficial bacteria ,but i have no choice because i suck from ich 2 months ago with no use >>>>

Well, if your tank has been fallow (no fish) for two months, you can leave it fallow for another month and you will no longer have ich in your sand or water (the ich life cycle needs fish to survive) w/o doing anything to it. BUT you will still need to quarantine AND TREAT all new fish that you add to your tank because they will reintroduce ich into your system. Your best bet is to leave your tank fishless for 8-12 weeks. The ich parasite will die off since there is no fish to complete the life cycle of the parasite. Then when you start to reintroduce fish, you need to treat ALL fish BEFORE you put them in your tank. Either with copper of hyposalinity. This will allow you to keep all the beneficial bacteria in your tank yet still rid it of ich.
