Need help taking pictures of tank

So I finally got my first DSLR and Im trying to take pictures of my main tank with the flash off , but every picture is really blue because of my bulbs. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

You have to edit the photo in a photo editing software program. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements. You can download a free trial version online, and it's relatively cheap (around $60) to buy the full program.

You can try adjusting the white balance in your camera, but I've found that doesn't always work very well, and impossible to do from picture to picture, which is what I was needing to do.

With Elements (and I don't know if it's the same in other programs) the control I use to get rid of the blue is called "Temperature".

Ya, you need to change your white balance.
Camera sensors have a really hard time processing all those waves of light.
Something like Adobe Lightroom or Apple Aperture makes it super easy to change white balance. Photoshop can do it too, its just more complicated. I'm sure you can find a youtube tutorial though.
