Need to raise alk - Baking Soda or Kent Pro Buffer?

Lizardgi

I used to have lizards
Hello,

I just ran my full line of tests tonight, dKH is 6, Calcium is 440 and Mag is 1200. I'm in between water changes and have just a few SPS and LPS is my 125 gallon. I'd like to raise the alkalinity a bit. Would you suggest baking soda or Kent Marine Pro-Buffer dKH? The pro-buffer is a bottle that came with my tank when I bought it, I have not used it yet.

Thanks!

Im sure some other members will chime in with more advice however the best way I can think of without dosing your tank, would be to move them to weekly water changes. My KH never dips below 9 highest 11 but I do weekly water changes.

I have a similar problem, I do a 10% water change weekly and have Alk readings in the 6-7s. I think this is in part due to running GFO for phosphate. I've been dosing Aquavitro eight.four
