im recanting my earlier suggestion and I say let the boy name him Shoelaser. You all can call thim Shoey when the novelty wears off.

I never call my dogs by their real names anyway. My chocolate lab is called Rufus(Dixie real name) the Jack Russell is Stinky(Phoebe real name)

Man if he is he'll never stop moving. I got one of them and she's 15, blind, half deaf and still acts like a energizer bunny. I say go with the kids name. That's how I ended up with a cat named Snifflebelle.

Welcome to the most rediculously energetic dog breed in the world! Ours bounces off the walls all day long. How about you just shorten shoelaser to laser? Itll fit him quite well in a few months
