What goes on in your aquarium when you add a new fish?

the fish produce waste hat makes ammonia and more ammonia means that more nitrite will be made tnad all that turns into nitrate. but if you go slow when adding fish the tank can catch up with bacteria to help keep these levels in check. if you add 5 fish at once most tanks can not handle that so they go into a fullblowen cycle again and many times it kills your fish

i would say a max of 1 per week but i would wait about 2
