It wasn't me!
I'm going to be changing out my substrate here soon. I'll be going from the coarse aragonite to sand. My question is; is it better to use live or dry sand? Does it matter? Will the tank mini-cycle afterwards?

Just dry sand. No it shouldn't cycle. The dry sand will become live just like dead rock will become Live rock. I used a mix of aragonite and sand for my substrate. Why are you looking at chaning yours out?

It wasn't me!
It is way to coarse. My sand sifting star can't really get through it. And I want a gody, and they won't be able to sift what I have now.
