Reefing newb
I am starting a new tank. My 30 gallon nano is still doing fine. I got a 60 gallon cube, stand and a Berlin type sump. I got one Eco tech radion light system and a eshopps skimmer. Just got it plumbed and running it and testing for leaks. Ordered 60 pounds of Marcos rocks, a RO/Di system and I am building a salt water mixing station as we'll.I seem to have the addiction. I am going to use my live rock in the nano to seed the base rock I have on order. I am wondering if using some of the water from my smaller tank might help the cycle of the new one and I guess I will put some sponge that has good bacteria from my nano cube as well, the filter sponge that is. The only other thing I need is a Eco tech mp10, or 40. I'm not sure if I can get away with just buying the 10 size. I'm thinking I could use the extra power even if I don't use it all. It's better to dial back then not having enough flow to start with. Any other suggestions would be great.
