new to salt water need help please

Hey yall, I have a.tank that has a.cornerenclosed with two holes.driled thru the floor. I'm asuming this is for.a specific filter can anyone tel me what filter this is?

Hello and welcome to the site...those holes are drilled in the tank to make the tank "reef ready"...the pvc pipes are affixed to the tank and lead to a underneath filter called a sump, wet/dry filter, trickle filter, and/or refugium.

You will need to buy the 2 PVC pipes if they didn't come with your tank, one is a supply line coming off the pump in your sump filter back to the tank and the other is a overflow line which drains into your sump. Most fish stores carry them. Also buy bulk head assembly to make the attaching of the lines to the PVC pipes, a lot easier.

You can google aquarium setup diagram sump and see different ways people do it.
