I made sure it was calibrated, tested my water..... Wow, tested @ 1.017.. A tad bit low. So I did a water change and popped it to 1.020... How long do I wait to raise the salinity some more? Whats my goal? 1.023-1.025? Have 2 clowns, snails, crabs, emerald crab, etc..

Dont have one, heard hydrometers, good ones are usually better. more reliable. I took 3 reading from different parts of the tank to make sure I wasnt crazy with my first readings..

Congratulations on the refractometer.
You'll like it a lot better than a hydrometer.

I personaly like to keep my salinity at 1.026.But thats just me.

Hydrometers are not reliable at all. Plus they need to be replaced about every 6 months or so. Even brand new hydrometers of the same brand will have wildly different readings.

Refractometers are definitely the way to go. Good buy!
