Reefing newb
I just bought me a 55 gallon tank and added live sand for the substrate. I also added some cured live rock and a cup of my sisters sand from her already established tank. So I am trying to patiently wait on the cycle to take place. I am not in a rush to do anything, just doing some research on what fish I want. I do like the Pygmy Cherub Angel, but hear that it is a SPS nipper. Anyone got any ideas. What will be the biggest size fish I can house in my tank?

I love Tangs which I think are all to small for my tank. I like blennies, gobies, the foxface, and cardinal fish.

You are indeed correct the smallest tank size for some species of tangs are 70 gal on into 180 gals depending on the breed. Being that you like these types of fish I would recommend a harlequin tusk though they will eat snails and crabs or a banana wrasse. When you upgrade your tank to accomidate tangs these will be good tank mates for them as well as puffers, small triggers, and angels
