I have a separate filter tank that has a big clump of caulerpa in it. That's not exactly what I meant. I was think of something a little more like this, but a little cheaper: Korallin BioDenitrator w/o Pump

Wow those are pricy !! You can build you own scrubber for like $30 and you wont have any nitrate problems.

I just checked this thing out and I am very interested in it. I see that it has carbon and I did look up GFO since I had no idea what that was and see that it removes Phosphate but what about nitrates? Does it remove those?
Can you substitute the carbon for a nitrate reducing media do you think?

I don't think it removes nitrates, but you can use any media you want in the reactor, as long as you can get the flow correct.

Yes I saw that but the other one was only 59.99 and the other 2 you are looking at are like 300. I am on a tight budget :(
