Hello,
I have a question regarding Nitrate levels. I have a 29 gallon biocube and I've been fighting a battle over high nitrate levels. I think I may have finally found the source. In tearing my system apart I found that my chiller was full of "junk". This is the first time I have a used a chiller that relies on water circulating through it from the tank and back. The previous chiller I owned was a drop-in style that was only exposed as a coil. I flushed out the system and have it clean now but is there a way to keep it clean moving forward? Is a higher flow rate pump needed to avoid build-up of materials or is this common and I just have to clean on a regular basis?
