Not A Rock - Will It survive a cycle?

Reefing newb
I just started a cycle. I purchase 30lbs dry rock that was sent with 5 seed pieces. Now, I am a newbie but when a rock moves I don't think its a rock. It's about the size of a baseball. Is this some type of clam? And if so will it survive my tank cycling?

Another question - Can I add more live rock while the tank is cycling? Want to add another 20lbs. to get me to about 1lb per gallon.

Today's water tests.

Ammonia = .25-.5
Nitrate = 0
Nitrite = 0
PH = 8.0-8.2

You would have to post a pic to identify your moving rock.

You can add more rock, but it may extend your cycle a little bit.

ok maybe I didn't attach the pic right. Will try again.

It's an alien pod. Kill it before it hatches.

Just messin'. Looks like a clam. Just leave it in and if you sense a funny smell in your water column and a significant rise in your ammonia during the cycle period, it may be because it's dead, in which case you can just remove it.
