Not a snail...

This thing is like a slug with a hard back on him that blends in to the rock. I've seen it slithering around before, has a foot and a mouth like a snail, but like a hard back.

Also, when I moved some zoas they put out like a brown smoke....what is that?

It sounds like a stomatella (sp?) You might have scared the :pooh: out of him or he could have been spawning

It does sound like a stomatella. They have a fingernail shaped shell. The cloud was probably either sperm or poop.

No, Sorry, the zoas put out the cloud, not the snail thing.

He's gone, plus blends in real well. It looks like what the other dude said up top. As long as it doesnt eat corals I'm fine with it.

I looked up stomatella, it looks like that, plus I saw a cool video on some hermits eating one, thats even cooler.
