I have had different corals in my tank for sometime, everything seems to be healthy and vibrant but nothing is growing or expanding. I have some zoas, xenia, an open brain (which epands nicely and is super vibrant green) When I purchased these frags I implanted them in crevaces and or holes found throughout my liverock. Except for the brain he is in the sand. They simply don't seem to grow and spread. I hear from ofther reefers having to frag because of growth well im not having that problem.
My tank is a 29 reg, I keep my water in check and do my water changes etc.. I keep my lights on a timer total of 6hrs 12000K daylight and 8hrs total actinic overlaping. My calcium checks between 420-500. Am I missing on suppliments or to little lights or both what gives ? I feed 2 caps of Dr G's Phyto a week, along with frozen 50/50 fish reef food.
My light fixtures consist of
30" 130W (65Wx2) Aquarium Power Compact Light
German made HQ light reflector.
Built-in fan on the top of the housing.
2 x Dual Blue moon LED module
1x 65w Straight pins 12000K Daylight PC Bulb.
1x 65W Straight pins True Actinic PC Bulb.
1x Acrylic lens.
Thanx for your time.
