Ocean's Salinity

I think it would be cool to take a hydrometer to the ocean and measure that salinity. Has anyone ever done it? And also check all the other perameters.

But I'd use a refractometer instead of a hydrometer.I think you would have to get the water samples down on the reefs to accurate readings.
That would make a great summer vacation.

The salinity of the ocean is 35 ppm.

Actually yes I have I was curious so I did it with ocean water from florida, My readings came out between 34 and 35.
