Just stopped in to say hi to anyone who remembers me. It's been a while! I've been trying to get my tank back up again over the last year, but have had some snags with ick. I just ordered that new MaxSpect 130 Gyre pump so I am pretty excited to try it out. It's funny because I have done a lot of internet searches and came across old posts I made on here from several years ago asking the same dumb questions. I guess I never learned =)

OMG we finally got SNOW. Like, REAL snow as opposed to fake snow which melts as soon as it hits the ground. Kids actually got to use their boots and sleds. We got about half a foot. Southerners' version of a Boston snow storm Hehehe. My brother's pipes froze. Didn't burst at least. So I can justify making rodi water galore because running it means I'm letting water run through the pipes. We also did turn on our faucets to a trickle all night. More snow! More snow! I should have moved to Boston with all the snow. I loves me some snow!

    Oh and HI Alto!

I can wait for summer. We just don't get enough snow in VA. We get snow teasers....where we get dusting. But not enough "fun" snow.

"Fun" snow doesn't exist at this time in the year........ tired of snow blowing and the cold. Come on 10 degrees, I'm ready for a heat wave!

Me being from a tropical country, I love the cold. For some reason, when it's cold, I become more active. Wanting to run around, shovel snow (I once shoveled midway through a blizzard, then when it was over, shoveled again!), run errands, do chores, bake bread. I would totally live in Boston if it meant lots of snow!

move to wisconsin. ... lots of snow. Once it gets hard pack, it becomes no fun. I'll blow snow several times during a blizzard. I used my plow on my 4 wheeler several years ago, man what a pain. Once you stop moving, that snow is stuck there till spring. I'll take the tropics over this anyday, getting the kids ready everyday.......... So much clothes.

Goodness. We're supposed to get a foot (or foot and a half) this weekend and my state has lost its mind. You'd think we never get any with this overreaction.

That's nothing. Our schools close then it's too cold o_O And schools close over an inch  I grew up in this area and back then, we close when there is a foot of snow, and bundle up tighter when it's 0 degrees outside. And my daughter likes to leave the house with nothing more than a sweatshirt. WTH did I buy her a $70 coat for?? LOL

It's all about insurance and lawsuits these days. They close because if one kid gets hurt or if there's a bus accident evey parent will sue.
