Overflow pipe line too noisy

Hi.

My pipe that goes from back of the tank to the sump making noise. It splashes i think on the bottom 90 degrees elbow. The pipe goes down and then it has 90 degree elbow toward the sump, small pipe, and one more 90 degrees elbow toward down the sump. So, i think the water fall from the display down and splash on the elbow's bottom.

What is better to do, to have the 90 degrees replaced with 2 of 45 degrees, or better to replace the whole pipe with flex one? Now i have PVC pipe.

Are you using a overflow box or is your tank drilled?

My tank drilled.

Drilled through the bottom? If so look up a durso standpipe. Its a easy DIY project.

Nope, it is drilled on back side top.
