Ph

Now that I finally have everything under control I've been working at keeping a reading of all my paremeters. I've been working on the PH. I test it when the lights first come on and when they go off. Here is the question. What should difference be? Can a big swing hurt?

pH should be the lowest when the lights first come on (if you run fuge lights opposite, it should still say relatively stable though). It's not unusual for it to range from 7.8 to around 8.4 throughout the day. Of course, minimizing that swing is best.

+5 - mine varies in from 7.8 in AM to 8.2 in PM. As the day goes on, it rises until the lights go out. Your best bet is to always measure it at the same time, so when you make adjustments, it's fairly consistent. I do it at 5pm every day after work, so I get to know what it's doing..

Thanks guys. For some reason I thought it had to be within a .1 difference from the time the lights come on to off. Mine has been in between 7.9 to 8.2
