Phosban reactor question

I picked up a two little fishes phosban reactor and I would like to know if I can run phosban and carbon in the one unit at the same time? Can I just half fill it with phosban, then fill the second half with carbon?

no gfo is harder than carbon it will do the opposite and you will have carbon dust in the tank an along with that all the nutrients that it absorbed. the second is that gfo or phosban lasts longer than carbon so you will be wasting it

So either way, I guess my only option is to buy a second one and run them both? Is this what most of you do for running media?

I never noticed less algae from using my 2 little fishies phosban with their phos material so i took it out. My tubing for the reactor even got algae in it.

You can mix them both together. Flow should be very slow thru the reactor so neither should be crumbling.
FWIW, I never ran carbon unless I was also running ozone.
