please help design sump for small cabinet

hi the cabinet IS 11inches wide 14 1/2 inches deep and about 29 inches i want it to be 24" tall. i made a scetch of a sump i want to make can u guys tell me if it will work or if theres a better idea for this thanks.

with that space i would go with an algae scrubber.

yes, and idk what that is lol. im completely new to anything with a sump

u can use like a 5 gallon bucket or a trash can or something... theres a few threads in the diy section on how to make one.

the reason i want a sump is for the extra 15-20 gallons, the room to put all my equipment somewhere other than the tank, and water quality from the extra filtration.v i was just reading alot about a algae scrubber and it sounds like a great add on to a sump build. with my dimensions can i build it into my sump? and i cant buy a in sump skimmer i aready have the hob skimmer which is why i listed it. oh and a 5 gallon buck wont fit in my cabinet

I bet you could make a bucket, or rubbermaid container to have your HOB skimmer and ATS (Algae Turf Scrubber) to make it fit. I'm thinking of the same thing. I have one on my 55 gallon tank at home and I'm at 0 phosphates!
