Pocillopora Coral Damage?

The pic of the coral in the back right. It's a pink pocillopora damicornis. It got stung when a snail knocked over the paletta prostrata onto it. The paletta is perfectly fine, but the poci got a good sting. Do you think I should let it go and regrow on its own or cut that tip off? It's been like that for about 5-7 days.

In my experience, SPS will encrust over the dead parts, though I've never had a poci. I think that it would really boil down to just personal preference.

The only thing about leaving the burned tip,it thats the perfect place for algae to take over.But it dont look like much would be left if you cut em.
Its a coin toss IMO.

Thanks Joe. I thought I saw some brownish algae on the back side of the top tip. I might just cut it to be safe. It will regrow anyway.

Cut it off, once algae gets on there it will kill the whole frag.
