Powerhead positioning.

Was wondering if my powerheads should be positioned so that they break the water at the top or should I aim them on a downward angle. What I'm looking for is to sort of clear up my water as I see a lot of small bubbles that are always floating around. I have two of them, one on each end of the tank basically facing each other, one on the front part, one on the rear.

Usually its just a preference for your corals on where the current goes...
Personally my powerheads are very strong so I angle them toward the surface. In my small tank they are weak so I blow them right across my corals.

If you have too many micro-bubbles that is from something else not power-head positioning.

If the return is breaking the surface that is fine. I have my powerheads in the rear corners, Angeles towed the middle of the front glass. That positioning works well for me as of bounces off the front glass and create vortex of sorts.

your coral's might deside your angle's for you, I've had to ajust my a time or two after adding a new coral..
