Protein skimmer producing micro bubbles

Lately it's been one thing after another. After doing a water
Change last weekend, I also cleaned my skimmer.
It had been running perfect until I cleaned it. Now, I can't get
It to skim properly and it's putting all kinds of micro
Bubbles into my display tank. With the Venturi wide
Open it fills the cup in less than twenty minutes
With just water rather a nice skim mate . The skimmer
Is a HOB sea clone 100. Has anyone experienced
This type of problem? What can I do, aside from
The obvious get a new skimmer.

seaclone is trash, i know this cuz i picked one up last black friday, i revered back to my lee's air driven skimmer for now, what i did to help reduce the amount bubbles was tied a filter sock on the output but even then it only reduced the amount

Unfortunately I bought this not knowing anything about protein skimmers on my
First attempt at the hobby four or five years ago. I started back up in December and
Read nothing but bad things about the sea clone. Although, I haven't experienced
Problems until now. Thanks for the advice, I will first try the filter sock until I can
Find a good buy on a new skimmer.
