how difficult is it to do a cutting of xenias?
mine are getting out of hand and i thought about removing a choice few and giving them to a fellow reefer?

if its not difficult whats the basics of the procedure???

Cut a stalk or from the base with a razor blade.Use fishing line or rubberband around the base til it attaches to a frag plug or rock rubble.I haven't tried superglue,I figured they are to slimey.Usually, it takes about a week or two to recover plus reattach themselves..They really should be kept in a frag tank until they recover,I haven't.Speaking of fragging xenias,I need to get cutting some more myself.I've been lazy and now they are getting out of control again.

I just place rubble by mine and let them move themselves.

i've found a good way to strip it off rock is when you're doing a water change or cleaning substrate, place the siphon tube over the xenia you want removing and nip the tube at the base of the coral until it comes off, this can prevent it regrowing if you miss some cutting it
