Probably depend where it's being collected from and the process. The guy I use delivers to many LFS in our area. He collects only on the incoming tide in an area that has alot of current and the water runs through several types of filters (don't know how many). Either way I have been using him for over 10 years and have never had a problem. South Florida has what I would classify as pretty clear water and temperature is around 78-82 usually. It's what he does for a living so I guess if he wasn't careful word would travel fast and he would be looking for a new career.
