yea these are a smaller version........unless you think its hydroids but from thatpic IMHO it looks like a mini feather duster and its reef safe, harmless and a filter feeder.
It's bubble. I had it in my 200 gal reef and it spreads like crazy. Try not to pop it or you will release its spores and you be picking it out for months.

I did a google search for "saltwater purple bubble with orange spots" LOL I saw a wetwebmedia entry -- someone posted a pic similar to yours! Bob fenner suggested it might be a zoanthid, but I couldn't see a pic that would resemble it. Still, you might want to check it out.

LOL That's funny cuz I saw that same link in the google search...but those bubbles look like green bubble algae, only red. The ones on wetwebmedia looked more like her pic's.
