how quickly do they muiltply bcuz there is about 10 of them and that is the biggest one

Depends on how dirty your water is. They are filter feeders, so if you have more nutrients in your water, they can grow faster.

When i first started my tank they multiplied pretty fast, but as it has matured, i hardly get any now.

Yea, its the same thing. They normally come round after a cycle and then within a few months just disappear. dont know why. Weird. :?
