Quarantine Aquarium?

Hello!
I was wondering if it is recommended to set up a quarantine aquarium. Also I heard that some people do a low salinity quarantine. Should I or should I not do a low salinity quarantine?

Thanks

Most of us here don't have them because they take extra time, money and space. The point is another cycled tank with the same parameters as your display so you can isolate any new fish and corals to watch for disease, parasites, etc...if you are using it for corals, then no, it needs to be normal salinity. I think most people only drop the salinity after the fish has been in there for a week or two, and do so over the course of a couple weeks before beginning a 6-8 week hyposalinity treatment. Then you would raise it back up over a couple weeks and leave the fish be for another week or two before finally transferring to your main display. And I believe its one of those easier said than done.
