Red candy cap coral.

Ok people i have a rad candy cap on a plug, and 3 weeks ago something knocked it over and it fell in a hard to reach spot. I finally got to it a week after that knock. But it was have white and half red cause half of the coral was wedged in the sand. Now the white part has turned black and the red part has faded a bit. What can i do to save the living part at least?

I'd frag off the black part, and then put the remainder in an area of your tank where it can recover and hopefully not get knocked around. Give it several weeks to recover. I had a red monti that I was pretty sure I'd killed by moving it into a QT tank - it turned brown and smelled nasty, and looked almost pure white when I put it back in my tank. I've left it on the bottom of the tank for the last 2 months, and low and behold it has mostly regained its color, and continues to improve.

Here it is.
