Reeeaaaallllyyyy Stupid Question

Do green emerald crabs 'molt' like cleaner shrimp do? The other day I didn't know whether I was throwing away my 'dead' crab or a discarded shell. UGH. I still have yet to see my crab...but he rarely comes out. The item I threw away the other day was very light...which is what got me thinking---maybe it's not the crab after all..:dunno:.

I bought a lobster today...and was sure to ask if it molted. lol I only want to be rrreeeaaalllllyyyyy stupid once! :)
