I just got my Reef Octopus NW150 up and running,the question i have is what is the best water/bubble level setting.Just below the first chamber,the non-removable one the skimmer cup sits on?

How long did it take to get broken in?Also the second cup below the skimmer cup,that's not removable.What is the purpose of it?

i have the same skimmer, i also have the nw200
i have mine set at about 3/4 up the black cone that sits in the lower chamber
i havnt really figured out what the purpose of that space is myself
but it skims way better than the other skimmers ive had so i quit asking myself what its for
both of mine took about a week to start producing

Yep mine took about a week or two to start really pulling a good volume of skimmate. Thats a normal break-in period.
