Refugium Confirmation

Reefing newb
I've never used a fuge before, and this is my first unit.
Just wanted clarification, but I think I'm correct.

I assume I just drain from the DT into the SKIMMER section.
Even though the partition is the highest of the bunch.
I would assume the refugium section will draw it's own water from the return section and an additional DT drain into this section is NOT required??? or is it???

Thanks!

That design is usually for two drains or a single drain split to drain in two sections. One for the skimmer section and one for the fuge. The baffles aren't quite right either. You have three for the fuge and a single one for the skimmer. The skimmer is the side you want more then one baffle(because of microbubbles).A single drain is skimmer(left),fuge(center) and return(right)...or vice versa.

Majority of my bubbles came into the intake area. That's where I had the triple baffles. My fuge has slow flow and had the least bubbles, hence I only used a single tall baffle w/ teeth at the top. My intake was in the middle.

Quick drawrings. I think the first way is probably better. Allows water to move more slowly through refugium.

You can do this:

Thanks for the input.
This is a pre-made acrylic refugium.
I cannot adjust the design at this point.

I drew it wrong, however!!
Not enough sleep!!

See below. I assume this is how it is supposed to operate.
Make note of baffle heights.

Thanks!
