Is it true that having a refugium in your sump increases the chances of killing most pods being sucked back through return pump? I heard it may be best to do a HOB refugium due to that fact.

Some people say yes some people say no, I think it might kill a couple but in the long run most pods are tiny so I think they make it up and I notice way more pods in my tank since I added my sump refugium.
