Resealing 40 gal tank

what type of sealant is the best to use? Are there any I should stay away from.Any tips would be great

GE 1 will work. I have resealed many tanks with it with no problems. The biggest being a 55 gal. I have been doing more reading on it though and there is a better silicone with a higher tinsel strength. While GE has worked fine for me I probably will buy the new stuff from now on just for the added insurance. If I remember right it's the same stuff they use at glasscages, but I can't remember for sure since it's been soo long ago that I read that.
