RO\DI System and Well Water

I am thinking of purchasing a Kent 35 GPD Hi-S Maxxima Deluxe RO\DI Unit. The question i have is i am going to install it on my well.It is a deep well, with a little iron.I have never had this water checked. Will this work for me?
Thank's

It should work fine. It wont go on your well itself it will go in the house either plumbed in permanently or get the attachment for your faucet when you want to make water.

Yep it will be just fine. Same as hooking it up to residential water. Your water probably has more minerals and less chemicals but it will work the same either way.

careful with having the unit plumbed right into the auto top off. if the auto top off malfunctions or the unit springs a leak while your gone you could have lots of water all over before you catch it.

Whats a good Auto Topp off system thats pretty fail safe?

I was planning on letting the RO\DI Unit filla resevor up,then from there hook up my auto top off unit.

Thank's

You need at least 50 psi for water pressure for efficient TDS removal and efficiency in production of filter water water versus waste water produced. With small RO filters a rate of filtered water to waste water of 1 to 7 or even 1 to 10 is about average. Your well water will be cheaper than a purchased piped in water so the inefficiencies of low pressure operation could very well be better than the cost of a booster pump and the switches need for one. A high Silicate membrane is very seldom ever needed. That brand is a good unit though with full sized cartridges for both prefiltration and for DI filtration. However, better prices can probably be found through sites such as these

Avoid units with small DI cartridges, such as most ebay units. You want DI cartridges a full 10" long made for a standard canister filter, and two in a series is the most efficient and cheapest way to run DI filtration.
You do not need or even want a finishing carbon filter which cheap ebay units call their sixth stage. If you do buy a unit that has one it is best to remove it.
