is ro waste water cleaner then just tap water?

I would think anything filtered through an RO system, no matter how long it has been cycling the water through, would come out with less harmful minerals than regular tap.

I would have to disagree. The waste water would have higher concentrations of the stuff that is in tap water. An RO membrane prevents the bad particles through. Not all the water gets through and the waste water is what doesnt get through. Since the good water has less crap than tap water it stands to reason that the waste water would have higher concentrations than tap water. The crap needs to go somewhere.

Oh, my bad. I don't have an RO unit so I'm not necessarily familiar with them. So they have a resevoir that waste water collects in? If so, then I retract my previous statement and agree with Brian. lol

I dont have one either but have done research on them. They have two outputs one clean RO water and the other waste water.

yep the waste water is full of everything that was taken out of the water it is very high in minerals
