Reefing newb
I just purchased a 75 Gallon reef setup and was given a used RODI unit with the setup. The unit is a Water General RD-106. I was told the cartridges are about 6mnths old. When I hook it up and filter the water my readings on my TDS meter are around 002 or 003. My problem is its suposed to be a 1:3 ratio waste to filtered but Im getting less than 1 gallon per every 5 gallon wasted. What can I do is it cartridge related. Here is a link to my setup

Cold water affects the waste water ratio. When it gets warmer out you will see an improvement in the good water output.

Sorry the range should be 40-80. Im running smack in the middle at 60. It just sucks wasting 5-6gallons of water per 1 gallon of RO water. I was thinking of calling a "water supply" store to see if they would do an overhaul on the unit

I know this thread is way old, and I'm not even sure how I found it. But you can wash clothes and dishes with the waste water. If you aren't already
