I just copied from the other thread.

    My story isn't very romantic.

NDB was a hot bouncer at a bar my best friend Dan would go to. Dan introduced us one night when I went out with him (it was August). We exchanged numbers, and we had a one night stand a few days later.

I liked him, and tried texting and calling him, but he blew me off and ignored me, typical douche bag. About a month later, he called me back -- he wanted another booty call. I succumbed. Because I'm laaaaame like that. Of course, he ignored my calls and texts for the next month. Then he called me back, booty call, etc, rinse, repeat.

I really liked him, but was tired of the way things were going. So finally I sent him an email telling him this wasn't the type of relationship I was looking for, that he will need to get his booty call somewhere else from now on. I guess I made him sad, because he kept trying to get me to come over.

And I succumbed. Because I'm laaaaaame like that -- but we would only see each other about once a month. The rest of the time, he'd ignore me like a douche bag. At Thanksgiving, I sent him a text message saying "Happy Thanksgiving" and he sent me a text back with a sob story about how he was sick for Thanksgiving, he spent it all alone, and it sucked. I felt bad for him, so I showed up at his house with a full Thanksgiving meal that I had picked up. I told him that everybody deserves to have a nice Thanksgiving.

That was the first time we actually sat down and talked. I spent the entire afternoon with him at his house, just talking and getting to know each other. I left that day not having been a booty call that time. And after that, he started returning my calls and texts, and inviting me over to actually do stuff, instead of just each other. We started spending every day and night together, and within a month he had moved in with me.

NDB is the love of my life, and although our beginning isn't typical, I'm so happy we're together. He treats me so well. Before I met him, I had no idea what "true love" felt like. He's the best!!!

I think my story is longer than Biff's so I have to think it through first.

I was in school when my wife showed up to with her family to tour the school. I was home that morning working on some homework and decided to take a break. I went out into the hall and down towards the lounge or something. Coming up the hall from the other direction was this family. They looked kinda lost and no one else was around that morning so i asked if they needed help. They explained that their daughter was thinking of going to school here and possibly joining Art House (the special interest dorm i was living in) and were just checking things out. So being the nice guy that i am i asked if they wanted to see one of the rooms. So off we go to my room. At this point I remembered that I was in the middle of my homework assignment. For the normal student, this would usually not be a big deal. But I was an art student. This particular assignment I was working on was our FINAL assignment of the year for my Life Drawing class. A life size nude self portrait. Yup, you read that right. This portrait was hanging on the only surface suitable... the back of the door to my room! Luckily I was able to keep the door propped open while they were in there. I'm not a conservative guy, but seeing me naked BEFORE the first date is not something I'm usually into. ;) So anyway, they toured the room, thanked me and were on their way.

Flash forward to my second year of school. I'm back in the same dorm but living in the room directly across the hall. Some freshman chic is kinda interesting (and happens to be living in my old room across from my new room) and one night after being their a couple months we get to talking with a group of people out in the hall. The night rolls on and people start to retire to bed, one by one, until it's just the two of us. We talked for hours and really hit it off. We both knew there was something cool here. I think it was that weekend we were bored and decided to go for a walk. Ended up walking and talking for quite some time and then ended up in a wooded area where we made out for a while. Headed back to the dorm and have been together ever since! Well we did break up for a short period a couple years later but got back together and got engaged after i graduated and married after she graduated.

So the point about the first half of this story, if you haven't figured it out already, is that the girl that day with her family was the girl i married. I had no idea until we were going out for a while and started talking about it. She remembered me though. Apparently i left somewhat of an impression on her.

That's a great story Dennis! Hilarious about the giant nude portrait though, LOL.

When NDB and I first started dating, he asked me if it would bother me if I knew that the guy I was with had posed nude before. I said, "In what capacity? Like for pornos? Or what?" He was like, "NO NO NO!!! I was a model for sculpture and painting classes at the university in between jobs. I needed the money. Nude modeling pays so well!" I was like, "So? I've got no problem with that!"

ALso copied mine over from the other thread:

Met my guy online too, in October 1998, before it was "cool" to meet people online. Shoulda seen the raised eyebrows in MY household!

I was a freshman in college, bored outta my mind. Decided to surf online, and serched with Lycos (remember them??) with the keyword "chat room", which of course pulled up thousands of hits. I picked one at random, called "The Park". Never had been in one before, had no idea how to "speak", struggled for about an hour before someone with the screen name "Good Guy" said hello to me. We chatted for hours. Set times to meet every day online to talk even more. Finally graduated to phone calls. He was a Canadian student. We hit it off really well!

I bought my very first plane ticket and flew out to Canada to meet him and spend spring break with him. Swear we both went head over heels. When I got back to school, I applied for a work abroad visa through the university, then dropped out of school (oh yeah, my parents were THRILLED!), packed everything up, and moved to Canada. I've been in love with him ever since! And, he really is a "Good Guy". :luxlove:

Copied mine from the other thread...

This is a good idea! We only missed Valentine's day by a couple weeks!

Well, I can say with honesty that my husband and I did not consummate our relationship until after we were married. The only reason we actually waited 'till marriage is that we didn't have time! Our first date was on a Wednesday and we were married the following Monday. A little history: I was 28 when we got married and we had been best friends since we were 16. We were just friends. Did double dates together him with his date and me with mine... I helped him meet girls, he hooked me up with guys.... we were best buds in every way. One night, we were talking about how hard it was to find quality people in our small town that really loved to talk about philosophy and nerdy stuff and we kind of realized that we were talking about how hard it was for us to find each other! He was the guy that I compared all my other relationships to, he was the one that I looked forward to being with. We decided to try to go out on a date with each other. It was so silly at first and yet, by the end of the night we knew we had to get married right away. I've been in love with him all my life and it only took me 12 years to figure it out!

OK yes I am a girl yes I have a girlfriend.

We met at work, I was in just ending a long relationship, Heather was married/separated and had a boyfriend.... I was a WHS manager and she worked in the office of the other company in the building. I am a very shy person and of course I thought she was hot but didn't ever in a million years think anything beyond that. It took weeks of her trying to start conversations with me before I would stay chat. After like 7 months of 5-30min conversations she invited herself over to my hosue.... at this point I still live with my ex but it was no big deal Heather is straight? So she came over I wound up being double booked left Heather and my ex to hang out for a few hours... by the time I got home ex went off Heather and I went to play pool came home finished getting drunk, and yeah the ex moved out shortly after that...

Heather however has some baggage and an almost restraining order against the EX a very manly man who was not happy about being left for a women and 1 divorce on my b-day 2 years ago (it was finalized)

i met my wife at a party i went to as someone elses date. there was a girl i was friends with in high school. apparantly she had a little bit of a crush on me. we lost touch for about two years after HS and ran into each other at the local mall and exchanged numbers. after talking on the phone a couple of times she asked me if i would go to a family function with her. she told me the party was in a month or so, and i said " sure". actually i figured i had a month to come up with an excuse to bail on her. four weeks later i forgot all about this event when i got the call...."you're still going?" she said; of course i felt like an ass so i said "sure". to make a long story short, i went to this party with her and there she was sitting right across the table from me, my future wife. turns out the girl i went there with knew my wife. my wife and i were checking each other out all night. when i dropped off my date that night she invited me in to her place but i declined. as i was pulling away i stopped my car and asked her if she had my wifes #. reluctantly she actually gave me the #. boy was she heated. the net day i made the call. we spoke for like three hours that day and went out the following weekend. we've been together ever since. 13 years. btw, i ran into the other girl two years ago and i can tell that she really hates me. oh well.

thats my story. just remember i'm a carpenter not a novelist, so sorry if this is a little hard to read.

My wife was my bank teller. I finally got the nerve to ask her out. She said No, she made up a long story about how she was going out of town with friends. I figured it was a blow off, so I said ok, well maybe some other time, and left with my tail between my legs.

Stupid me, now I had to purposely avoid the bank so that I didn't have to see her. One day, I HAD to go to that bank before it closed. As I got closer to the teller window, I see her change spots with one of the tellers so that she could be my teller. When i get up to the window, she says "are you ever going to ask me out again?"

Turns out, the blow off was real, in all my nervousness I forgot, the weekend that I'd asked her out the firs time was Memorial Day weekend. Duh.

Here's the funny part, about 2 months after we started dating I said "What made you want to go out with me?"

She says "I checked your account balance".

I got the last laugh, I've got a brother who's got ALOT more money than I do, she checked the wrong account! LOL.

And yes, bank tellers do that ALL the time...Not supposed to but they do.
