Hey,

So my Royal Gramma keeps taking mouthfuls of sand and spitting them out all over my live rock. Its covering my live rock which is probably not a good thing. Does anyone know a way to get him to stop this?

Unfortunately some fish just do quirky things that we have to deal with. You can just blast the sand off the rocks with a turkey baster.

It is probably feeding on the critters in the sand bed.
Maybe spitting it out over the rocks ensures that the sand that it just sifted through does not fall into the pits that were already dug up so it knows which sand sections are still "fresh".

I dont think it's really an issue unless it gets to the point that it mounds and starts to cover the rock. can you rearrange a power head to keep the rocks clean with flow?
