Samuel Eel Jackson is hungry!

Samuel Eel Jackson's pet
My snowflake eel has been in his new home for over 24 hours now and I havent seen him eat.

I tried to feed him one of those frozen brine shrimp cubes but before he decided if he wants it it thawed out and the the shrimp when all through the tank. (Which the damsels loved)

I was thinking of going to the supermarket and cutting up a raw shrimp (We call them prawns here)

Should I leave the head and shell on it or just cut up the fleshy bits?

You just need the tail. Peel it and wrinse in clear fresh water, cut it into serving sized pieces. Offer him one and put the remainders in a zip lock, separated apart in the bag, lay flat in the freezer. Once fully frozen they can be thawed one at a time....

Thanks MitchReef!

Silly question but they also have cooked ones. Will he eat a cooked shrimp or is it better for him to have it raw?

yup, like reefnoob said....cooking will make it less palatable to the beast and less nutritional at the same time...

I got him eating raw cut up shrimp/prawns.
Got 3 pieces that cut up to 6 meals and also got him a piece of squid to break up the routine.
