sea anemones

Reefing newb
How long should I wait before adding a sea anemone to my aquarium? I have had the Aquarium for 4 weeks now.

Oh boy! Anemones at least 10 months to a year. And then only if you have the correct lighting. Anemones can be really hard to keep (much harder than corals) and require pristine water conditions. Even the easiest (bubble tip anemone) is considered not a good idea for a new tank.

If you dont have at least 9 watts of the right light per gallon of water, then dont even think about an anemone.
Your tanks got to be super stable, constant perimeters, you get the idea.

spank me for differing in my opinion Yote, but I have three BTA's in about 6 watts per gallon. I do agree that the more light, the better. They do need good water conditions and I would wait between 6-9 months before adding one. NO WAY for a tank that has been around for just a month. Be patient, you will be happier when it is not dead in your tank.
